This Jet Red Morris Cooper S is an early Mk II version of the famous “giant killer” that won 1st through to 9th place in the 1966 Bathurst 500. The car was purchased in Victoria in 1969, passed to a friend after many years of driving as a family car, and then completely restored in 2002, and re-purchased by the original owner in 2009. It remained in his hands until 2020, when the car was passed on to another friend. The red Mini presents as an original car in as-new condition, in the same colour as delivered. Unusually for a Cooper S, it is in the one colour (Coopers typically had a different coloured roof). In 2013, this car had the honour of representing the Mini in a “World’s Greatest Cars” feature article in “Unique Cars” magazine.
